Prerequisite: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

This is a 74-hour course designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to render health care service to patients who are acutely ill. The program requires 24 hours of classroom instruction and 50 hours of clinical training in an Acute Care Facility or Hospital under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

A Certificate of Completion is issued by the institution after successful completion of the course, qualifying them to work in an acute care setting or hospital. CNA’s taking the course earn 36 continuing education units.
